Founder - Social Worker / Counsellor

Hello there, my name is Grace Cost-Chretien (She/ Her) and I am the woman behind Melita Grace Counselling. I am a registered Social Worker and counsellor with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

My Social Work career has varied within Australia's child protection and youth mental health industries for the past 6 years. I have qualifications in Trauma Informed counselling, suicide prevention, youth mental health therapies and behavioural sciences. I have broad experience in working with children, young people and adults that have experienced significant childhood trauma and various mental health presentations. I have worked with evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, breath work and more.

My personal experience of exploring my own spirituality and navigating womanhood took me on the journey of rediscovering my own intuition and feminine strength that completely changed my life path. The combination of my professional experience and personal values inspired me to open my own practice in order to break down some of the Western ways of looking at well-being and experience a more connected and holistic approach to human wellness.

For me, the women in my life have supported and guided me the most. My aim is to work alongside you to help you discover the pathway of re-aligning with your authentic self, exploring your values and deepest desires and unearthing your feminine power.

From the inspiration of my favourite book: ‘When seeking guidance, don’t ever listen to the tiny-hearted’. My passion is to empower women to walk on this earth with grounded feet and a deep knowing of themselves. I believe women hold an immense amount of strength and magical energy that the world deserves to see and celebrate.
